I like to start my day with coffee at Profiles. I could spend a good few hours here exploring the fascinating exhibitions that are always on – from Dior to Valentino and furniture design. I also find the best pieces at its pop ups.
My favourite lunch spot is La Petite Maison, Al Maha Island. The food, the views, the service… It’s all always top notch. I love going there for lunch and usually order the escargot – it’s a house signature – the burrata and the lamb cutlets. The whole menu is delicious, though.
The best place for sushi is Market by Jean-Georges at the W Hotel. It also has the most delicious crab salad. It’s an old favourite for me.
One of my top breakfast spots is Rusk. It’s also great for a mid-day coffee after a stroll in downtown Msheireb. I always order the eggs benedict or the croissant breakfast sandwich and French toast for dessert.
If I have a day off, I drop by the Waldorf Astoria Doha Spa. It does the most luxurious massages and has a skin atelier, so there’s something for everyone. When it comes to unwinding, I love the healing Himalayan therapy that uses Himalayan stones – so relaxing.
For quick treatments, Beauty Hunters is also great. You'll find it at The Pearl, it's my go to for a manicure and pedicure, whatever the occasion. I also love to get an eyelash lift there, too.
Roberto’s is a mid-week date night must. It has the best vibes on a Tuesday night. It’s a go-to for my husband and I whenever he is in Doha. The burrata, carpaccio and pizza bianca are my top three orders.
If you love coffee and flowers, you’ll love Blooming Gate. It has two of my most favourite things on the planet in one place – as well as a great selection of cakes and pastries. The flower arrangements are modern and unique – I just ordered one for my mum for Mother’s Day.
La Bodega Negra does the best tacos. You’ll find it in West Bay, and I love the outdoor area in winter. It’s great if you’re getting together with a group of friends for a relaxed night out. Every Tuesday is Taco Tuesday – the mushroom is my favourite.
The Ned has the most beautiful architecture, views and art deco designs. Everything at The Ned is great but the delicious food at Hadika – complete with a view of the Doha skyline – is what keeps me coming back. The pool area is also stunning, as is the décor in the hotel rooms – check out the scalloped beds if you go.
For shopping, Printemps is a one-stop destination. It has everything from contemporary brands to luxury fashion designers like Khaite and Gucci. It also has one of the best selections of jewellery and I love that I can find coffee table books from Assouline for my home as well as abayas by local names and unique bag brands like Coperni and Rosantica.
My favourite Qatari brand is 1309. It has some of the best abayas, kaftans and dresses. The fabrics and prints are always unique, the cuts are elevated and the styles chic and contemporary.
The best mall is Place Vendôme Mall. It’s the only shopping mall I look forward to visiting. I love to enter from the luxury boulevard area to get lost in its beautiful architecture. The brand selection is vast – there’s everything from luxury to high street on offer. Last time I was there I treated myself to more Dior tableware as I was preparing for my Ramadan table. I also picked up a gift for my cousin from Kaltham’s Pavilion, a beautiful Qatari jewellery brand.
