THE SCENT:

Acne Studios X Frédéric Malle

Frédéric Malle is one of the best noses in the business. From Dominique Ropion’s Portrait of a Lady to Jean-Claude Ellena’s Heaven Can Wait, he’s helped create some of the most iconic scent collaborations in the world. His latest is with cool-girl brand Acne Studios. In a striking bottle, there’s a mix of floral notes, incense, sandalwood and vanilla that add up to an unusual yet wearable fragrance that reminds us of fresh laundry.

THE TAKEOVER:

Ferragamo x Bungalo34

Two SL ME favourites have collaborated to create a one-off pop-up experience. Ferragamo, the iconic Italian luxury brand, is partnering with beachside dining concept Bungalo34 for its first Middle Eastern collaboration. Bungalo34 – located at Pearl Jumeirah – has been transformed into a luxurious experience fusing fashion with culinary mastery. Ferragamo's SS24 collection will be showcased alongside a curated Italian-inspired menu – plus, at the weekend there’ll be mixologist sessions, as well as live bands and a DJ to soundtrack the event.

Hunza G, The Weekend Collection

The Jeddah Edition & Yacht Club

Launched last week, The Jeddah EDITION is now the group's third property in the region. Along the Jeddah Corniche, the striking hotel is within reach of Jeddah’s city centre and the Mall of Arabia. The launch has two penthouses, 63 rooms – including 11 luxury suites – a lobby lounge, cosy bar, a rooftop terrace with a pool, as well as a signature restaurant from acclaimed New York chef Cédric Vongerichten. Luxury luggage company Rimowa’s latest collection is inspired by the coastal lifestyle of Miami and the new colour palette is summer personified: think fresh pastel mint and papaya orange. Missoni

Few brands epitomise the 1970s better than Missoni. Now, the heritage brand is coming to the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. Found on level two, the interiors reflect the brand’s sophisticated yet playful use of colour and, of course, its distinctive zig zag print has been worked into the design. Visitors can peruse the SS24 collection across womenswear, menswear, beachwear and accessories.

Ancient Greek Sandals x Castañer

When it comes to summer footwear, Ancient Greek and Castañer are two names that instantly come to mind. The two brands have joined forces for a one-off collaboration, paying homage to Greek sculptural art – referenced in the winged clasps akin to the messenger of the gods, Hermes. The new collection also references both the brands’ identities – think rattan finishes and criss-cross strap detailing – but with modern finishes like metallic-toned uppers.

Beauty At Bloomingdale’s

Bloomingdale’s has cemented itself on Dubai’s shopping scene and this month, there’s plenty of newness to check out in store, as well as online. We recommend starting with the apothecary artistry of Santa Maria Novella, which has launched online and will be in store by August. The brand has created artisanal cosmetics and perfumes since 1221, and this will be its first outpost in the Dubai Mall. Plus, legendary fashion house Prada is launching its Free-Thinking beauty collection, with 33 flexible shades to match every skin tone and skincare solutions for every complexion.
