The Best Female DJs To Have On Your Radar

Everyone knows it's the girls who are first on the dancefloor, so it makes sense that a woman should be on the decks, too. Whether you’re planning a night out, big event or just looking to supercharge your playlist, we’ve put together a curated list of the coolest female DJs working today.

DJ Maww

Marva Alshamry – also known as DJ Maww – is based out of the UAE. Blending Afrobeats, RnB and hip hop in her sets, you’ll often find her showing off her skills poolside and on rooftops across Dubai – notably at luxe eatery Lazuli.

Sarah Hardan

Sarah Hardan is instantly recognisable for her bold, luxe hippie style, killer fringe and knack for throwing unforgettable parties. As a DJ, she's made waves at Dubai's Hot Mess and recently debuted in Europe, opening for the likes of Kid Francescoli and Rampa. Her killer sets blend Chicago house and minimal beats, but beyond the DJ booth, she's also the mastermind behind The Good Trip – a party planning agency that puts together luxury events.

Parvané Barret

Parvané Barret is a DJ and creative consultant based in Dubai. An all-around cool girl with a healthy social media following (the outfits keep people scrolling as much as the music) her sets are a mega mix of soulful beats, R&B influences and hip hop.

DJ S.O.N.Y.A is a powerhouse on the decks, and her unique blend of beats and glamour have helped her make a splash on the DJ scene over the last six years. Performing at some of the Middle East’s coolest and most prestigious venues, she also headlined at Expo Dubai in 2022 and opened for Bruno Mars at the DU Arena in Abu Dhabi – plus, she was spinning tunes for the launch of AIN DUBAI, the world's largest observation wheel.

My Fash Diary

Fashion and music are a dream combination, as proven by Tala Samman – known as @MyFashDiary on Instagram. Hailing from Dubai, Tala is one of the original ‘It’ girls from the region, but her CV is definitely impressive – she's opened for Dua Lipa in Abu Dhabi and performed at the massive Electric Run party.
