Dear Readers,

As we turn the page to November, it's hard not to feel a deep weight in our hearts for everything unfolding in the Middle East. Despite the passing months, the pain and devastation remain overwhelming. Recently, I spent a day at Movement For Hope – an event filled with healing activities like yoga, breathwork, sound healing, and more – held at the 25 Hours Hotel. These activities were designed to bring our community together and channel our collective energy toward meaningful support. In times like these, when many of us feel helpless, it's the unity and strength of our community that give us hope.

Last month was a whirlwind but the standout moment was definitely my trip to Riyadh Fashion Week with Amrita. From the shows to the first humanoid robot on the KAF BY KAF runway, it was a spectacle. We saw some incredible style throughout the week, which made it onto the SheerLuxe social pages. One of our highlights was the Abadia show – we loved the elegant silhouettes and wearable styles. After watching 24 Hours In Paris, where Georgie spent the day with Shahd and learned about her journey, it's hard not to love her and her brand even more. The talent was exceptional and the energy in Riyadh was nothing short of inspiring – it’s clear the region's fashion scene is evolving. I’m looking forward to returning for another brand event later this month for the much-anticipated Riyadh Season.

Sephoria – the biggest beauty festival of the year – is fast approaching, and I couldn’t be more excited. As a beauty-lover, seeing brands like SaieIlia and Glossier making their debut in the region is really exciting. We've got some amazing content planned with the founders who are in town and we can't wait for you to see it all on our socials.

Speaking of exciting happenings, Georgie and Elaine were invited to Kuwait for Oud Fashion Talks, where they spent 48 hours meeting inspiring people like Hanya Alkhamis, Bazza Alzouman, Aljawhara Al Mahdi, Duha AlRamadhan, and many more. They attended a panel featuring industry leaders who discussed the region’s future in fashion, retail, social media, and sustainability. The episode is full of unforgettable moments that highlight the dynamic spirit of Kuwait’s fashion scene. You can watch it now  on our YouTube channel.

Last month WAS A WHIRLWIND but the STANDOUT MOMENT was definitely my trip to RIYADH FASHION WEEK with Amrita.

On the podcast front, we’ve just dropped a new episode featuring the amazing Dima Ayad. She shares her journey growing up in Dubai to founding her communications agency, DAC, and launching her size-inclusive fashion brand. Tune in to hear about her challenges, triumphs and her mission to empower women with every collection. We're also welcoming some new guests on the podcast before the end of the year, so stay tuned.

Things on my wish list right now include the Baalbeck ring from Karma Salman, a talented Lebanese jewellery designer. Named after one of Lebanon’s most cherished cities, it feels even more special given everything happening there now. I'm also eyeing the Brigid Top from KAGE's Resort '24 collection. With its exaggerated collar, side slits and drawstring cuff details, this V-neck top strikes the perfect balance between polished and effortless.

Finally, with Dubai’s highly anticipated J1 Beach opening just in time for the best weather, it’s the perfect moment to soak up some sun. I also recently visited Gigi Rigolatto, ChouChou, and Gitano and was absolutely blown away by the experience. Plus, with major regional events like the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah and Sole DXB just around the corner, there's so much to look forward to.

On a personal note, I’m thrilled to share that I’m newly engaged. Wedding preparations are already underway, so if you have any suggestions, I’m all ears. But before diving into my own planning, I’ll soon be off to Gouna to celebrate my best friend's wedding. This will be my first-ever Sangeet, and I’ve been practicing my dance routines non-stop. It really is the season of love among my friends, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ll be documenting it all on my Instagram, so keep an eye out.

Here’s to a love-filled November,

BAOLI
