Dear Readers,
It’s hard to believe we’re already in February. January felt like an entire year packed into just a few weeks. Between planning, filming and navigating the inevitable post-holiday chaos, it’s been a whirlwind – but one that’s left me so excited for everything we have lined up for 2025.
We’ve started the year with incredible momentum, and I’m thrilled to share some highlights. At the start of January, I travelled to London to record a podcast with Lulu Dahmash and Maya Williams. From the latest openings in the region to the celebrity gossip that Maya seems to have an uncanny knack for keeping up with, it was an unfiltered, lively chat now live on YouTube. If you haven’t already, it’s worth a listen.
Later in the month, Georgie and Eloise joined us in Dubai to record our first-ever Beauty School series, featuring some of the region’s most inspiring make-up artists. This is the first time we’ve spotlighted regional talent in the series. Their techniques are as impressive as their artistry, and they share invaluable tips in a digestible, easy-to-follow format perfect for anyone looking to elevate their beauty game. While they were here, we also spent time with the amazing Budreya Faisal – founder of Banaat FC and Ghost Concept – following her as she gave us an inside look into the world of women’s football in the UAE. Her vision and passion for empowering women through sport are genuinely inspiring.
Looking ahead, February is shaping up to be just as exciting. By the time this goes live, we’ll be in the midst of Dubai Fashion Week, and as always, we’re capturing the buzz and showcasing the incredible design talent this region has to offer. On the travel front, we recently filmed our first-ever episode in Doha, meeting some truly inspiring individuals along the way. The episode will be live on YouTube soon, and I can’t wait for you to watch it. Next up is a trip to Jeddah, which promises even more inspiration and exciting stories to share.
You’ll also notice new faces joining the SheerLuxe Middle East family this year. From exciting contributors to fresh ideas, we’re evolving in ways that make me proud. You may have already spotted Rima’s Dubai food content. It’s been a hit, and there’s plenty more to come.
With Ramadan just around the corner, I wish you and your loved ones a blessed and fulfilling month. While I can’t reveal too much yet, we’ve got some exciting projects in the works, and I look forward to sharing more with you soon.
