Everything This Cool Girl Is Loving Right Now
FASHION
A designer brand I'm loving is Heliot Emil. I like the minimal, unique, structured silhouettes and neutral colour stories. Every piece is constructed beautifully and has a sporty, utility aspect.
My favourite show at the SS24 fashion weeks was Coperni. It always conveys the perfect balance between edgy and feminine. The SS24 collection was so innovative, with technology and functionality integrated across the collection. I also loved the Rick Owens show for the powerful, formfitting dresses with a dystopian edge.
The under-the-radar brand everyone should know is Theunissen. I’m obsessed with the dresses and bags. It does these cool, formfitting silhouettes with dramatic cut-outs – a style I really want to introduce more of in my wardrobe. The round bags bring an element of fun and are a real statement to have on your arm.
My go to brand for wardrobe staples is, of course, The Giving Movement. When I don’t know what to wear, my fail-safes are our Softskin leggings and t-shirt styled with socks, Salomon trainers and a zip-through oversized hoody. Dressed like this, I feel ready to do anything.
My favourite city to shop in is Seoul. It’s such a creative and inspiring shopping environment, and the Koreans really nail capsule dressing.
My favourite place to shop online is Ounass. In Dubai, the platform offers an amazing two-hour delivery service for emergency shopping!
My go-to brand for evening or event dressing is Meshki. I recently shopped a few evening crystal outfits from this Australian label. The fit of the pieces is incredible, and I felt like the fire emoji in them.
In the winter I live in hoodies and joggers. I generally style them with a high-neck long-sleeve body with wide-leg cargo pant and boots for a smarter winter look.
On holiday my look is totally different to my daily wardrobe. I like to wear more colour and experiment with different looks. On my most recent trip to Zanzibar I wore fitted maxi skirts and asymmetric top co-ords.
My favourite Middle Eastern label right now is Alexandra Hakim. The jewellery is beautiful – it’s so true that no one does opulence and glamour better than the Middle East.
BEAUTY
My heatwave beauty essential is CeraVe 50+ sun protection face cream. I’ve also recently discovered the Foreo Micro Current Device – I can’t live without this anymore as it de-puffs and lifts my face every morning.
A beauty trend I’ve started adopting is glass skin. I love a BB cream layered on top of face oil for that dewy, glossy sheen. I love following my younger Gen Z sister for beauty inspiration because she knows ALL the latest trends and teaches me.
TRAVEL
I have booked to go to Japan this year. I love Tokyo and can’t wait to go back, though I’d also love to book a dream trip to Al Ula in Saudi Arabia this year too. I also enjoy travelling to the UK to spend time with my family – I usually stay at my parent’s home.
My favourite city in the Middle East is Dubai. What’s not to love?! It’s a place full of opportunities, diversity and the future. If I’m doing a staycation, I usually book the Zabeel Saray on The Palm.
For fashion inspo, I’ve loved following @AminaMuaddi. I like her style and she is absolutely beautiful.
For interiors inspo, I find it all on Pinterest! I like very minimalist interior design and lots of concrete.
My ‘guilty pleasure’ follow is @ChickenShopDate.
For a bit of wanderlust, it doesn’t get better than @Del.Ten – who recently inspired me with his incredible trip to Tokyo.
If you need a bit of glamour in your life, follow @Aureta.
The Middle Eastern influencer whose style I love is @OumaymaBoumeshouli. She styles all her looks impeccably and I like her photography.
FOOD & DRINK
My go-to breakfast at the moment is protein yoghurt. Very boring, I know!
My go-to dinner to cook is a nice and hearty lentil soup.
My go-to meal for entertaining guests is a decent charcuterie board. It’s something I can just throw together.
My go-to drink is English breakfast tea.
CULTURE
I recently saw an exhibition in the heart of Stone Town Zanzibar on the history of the slave trade. It’s important to continue to educate ourselves on history and the hardships humanity have faced to better our actions in the future.
The podcast I’m enjoying is Diary of a CEO. The host Steven Bartlett speaks to various personalities and entrepreneurs, and gains a real insight into their journeys in their respective fields.
The last series I binged was The Crown.
The films I most recently enjoyed are all the Harry Potter movies. I rewatched them all and they are so much better as an adult!
My favourite playlist is Nicki Minaj’s new album – on repeat!
