Everything A Chic Tastemaker Is Loving This Season

Jannat Miranda is a Dubai-based tastemaker and the founder of The Insider Edit – so naturally she has a keen eye for fashion, beauty and all things lifestyle. Here, she shares what’s currently on her radar, from 90s-inspired denim to statement jewellery, beauty favourites to the wellness rituals she’s made part of her routine…

1. The Scarf

I’m having a real scarf moment right now. I love how something so simple can completely change a look, whether it’s worn around the neck, over a blazer or even tied onto a bag. It’s one of those small styling details that instantly makes an outfit feel more considered.

2. The Ballet Flat

I’m all about a ballet flat that can genuinely take me from AM to PM, and Sam Edelman has been such a go-to. They’re polished enough for meetings and events, but comfortable enough for a full day running around.

3. The Denim

Seeing as I’m firmly back in my 90s denim era, I’ve been searching for the perfect high-waisted, barrel-cut jean that can go from work straight out to dinner. Stella McCartney has nailed it. I recently bought a suede-and-denim pair from Ounass too, which feels like the perfect summer-into-autumn transition.

4. The Blazer

Now that summer is over, I’m fully back in work mode, which means I’ve become obsessed with a really clean, sharp blazer again – something Veronica Beard is so good at. This one gives you that pulled-together look without feeling overly corporate.

5. The Trousers

There’s something about a chic pair of ankle-length trousers that instantly elevates any outfit. I’ll wear them with a simple tee tucked in, a crisp white shirt or a blazer. Massimo Dutti is where you’ll find the best ones.

6. The Mixed-Metal Stack

Ever since I got my hands on some incredible pieces from Outhouse Jewellery’s KOKO collection, I’ve been mixing my metals more. I love combining those statement pieces with an everyday Missoma stack. Gold and silver together just feels cooler to me right now.

7. The Trench

I’m loving a really cool but feminine trench or cropped jacket at the moment. Throw one over denim, trousers or even shorts and suddenly the whole outfit feels complete. De Savary is doing this so well.

8. The Red Light Ritual

Red light therapy is my latest obsession. I use the BOOST LED mask at home and have also started incorporating red-light lymphatic massages into my routine every few weeks. Beyond the beauty benefits, I find the whole ritual incredibly relaxing.

9. The Pilates Studio

VAURA is my Pilates heaven. Jordyn, my favourite instructor, has me hooked and booked pretty much throughout the week. It’s become one of those non-negotiables – I genuinely miss it when I don’t go.

10. The Travel Bag

Investing in a practical airport bag has been game-changing. My Freja NYC bag fits all my essentials – including a laptop – and everything has its place. Finally, no more chipping my nails fighting with zips at the airport!

11. The Statement Brooch

Brooches are such an under-rated styling tool and I’m constantly on the hunt for interesting statement ones. I’ll use one to elevate a very simple top but I also love wearing them on the cuff of a shirt or blazer.

12. The Make-Up

The newer Airbrush Flawless additions from Charlotte Tilbury have completely taken over my shoot, content and event-day make-up. Concealer, setting powder, blush – I love anything that gives me that polished-but-still-effortless look.

13. The Walking Pad

My trainer Bob has drilled the importance of getting my 10,000 steps into my head and now I genuinely can’t do without them. Having a walking pad at home has been such a game-changer, particularly living in Dubai when getting outside isn’t always realistic. It makes fitting movement into a busy day so much easier.

15. The Everyday Work Bag

I’m constantly on the go, so I need my entire life to fit inside my bag – but I still want it to look considered. Strathberry nails that balance: timeless, beautifully structured and practical enough for every day.

16. The Candle

You can never have enough candles. For me, scent is part of creating an atmosphere, so there’s almost always one burning somewhere. Ounass has a great edit. I particularly love discovering scents from brands like Baobab Collection, Diptyque and LOEWE.
