Inside The SL ME Team’s Wish List

With a new season comes a natural shift in focus. From sculptural tailoring and elevated outerwear to considered colour, standout accessories and refined modest wear, the SLME team’s wish lists bring together pieces that feel both current and enduring. Mixing regional talent with under-the-radar brands, these are the items shaping our wardrobes this season.

I’m really drawn to interesting shapes this season – pieces with asymmetrical draping, sculpted shoulders and clean, elongated lines that instantly elevate an outfit. The colour palette is quite monochrome: deep maroon, black, white and navy. Those tones always feel timeless to me and make getting dressed so much easier. I love investing in strong separates – a beautifully cut vest, fluid trousers, and a statement top – that can stand alone yet work well together. It also feels exciting to see so many regional brands doing this so well right now – the tailoring, the craftsmanship, the attention to detail. They’re really setting the tone for modern, considered dressing.

As we are now fully into spring/summer, I’m focusing on introducing more playful, lighter pieces into my wardrobe, stepping away from black and embracing colour. I’ve always believed in investing in well-made shoes and handbags because they can transform even the simplest outfit. I also love discovering new jewellery brands, and this season I have my eye on a pair of earrings from Lizzie Fortunato. Her pieces are timeless and beautifully made. And I can never resist strong outerwear; I’m drawn to refined boxy silhouettes, from structured denim to long, tailored jackets in lightweight fabrics that add instant sophistication.

This season, my wardrobe is anchored in strong, sculptural pieces. I’m drawn to sharp silhouettes softened by texture and colour, from statement accessories and burgundy leather to elegant neutrals that feel modern and chic. Tailoring is key, whether that’s a relaxed blazer, stirrup-detail trousers or a beautifully cut jacket that defines the waist. I’m also leaning into elevated outerwear, such as funnel-neck trenches and belted leather layers, which instantly pull a look together. Accessories are doing more of the heavy lifting too: sculptural gold jewellery, bold belts, long leather gloves and standout bags that add interest to otherwise pared-back outfits. Ultimately, I’m investing in pieces designed to work across my wardrobe season after season.

I find myself gravitating toward vibrant colours, playful silhouettes, and statement pieces that bring personality and character to my wardrobe. I’m especially focused on spring/summer finds, from bold ready-to-wear and standout shoes to accessories that instantly elevate a look. Lately, I’ve also been admiring distinctive clutches and unique handbags that showcase a real sense of authenticity and craftsmanship.

Now that Summer is almost here, I naturally move towards pieces that feel elegant and modest, with a strong focus on regional and Saudi brands. Supporting designers from our region feels especially meaningful right now. Modest wear has always been central to my style, but I love interpreting it in a modern, elevated way, think fluid fabrics, refined tailoring and subtle details that create impact without excess. This season, I’m excited to highlight designers redefining modest fashion through beautiful craftsmanship and contemporary silhouettes, focusing on versatile investment pieces that transition seamlessly from day to night.
