A Cool Jewellery Founder Shares Her Current Favourites
1. The Office Look
I tend to keep things classic and understated. I love a crisp white button-down from Sézane paired with either dark denim or wide-leg trousers, and I’ll usually add a heel to keep the look feeling elevated. It’s timeless and always makes me feel put together. Lately, I’ve been leaning toward jewellery that elevates that simplicity; my Rolo Chain Charm Necklace, a bolder earring like the Ines Drop Studs or Stevie Hoops, and the Charlotte Stacker Bundle. They’re chic combinations I never have to think about, yet they instantly complete the look.
2. The Denim
Right now, I’m loving a pair of Veronica Beard barrel jeans. Made in LA from non-stretch Japanese denim, they’re a high-rise silhouette that’s become my go-to lately – easy, comfortable and the perfect balance of relaxed and polished.
3. The Signature Scents
My signature scent is Byredo Bal d’Afrique – I’ve been obsessed for years. The mix of citrus, florals and soft woods feels fresh yet grounding. That said, I always come back to Coco Mademoiselle: edgy, feminine and never too sweet – exactly how I like it.
4. The Regional Brand
I’m loving Bouguessa, founded by Faiza Bouguessa. Her refined aesthetic blends modern tailoring with subtle nods to Middle Eastern heritage, creating pieces that feel both timeless and contemporary.
5. The Bag
It’s not new, but my Bao Bao Issey Miyake Prism Tote, is still my go-to. I’m always carrying my laptop, so I wanted something practical yet playful. The sculptural pleats elevate even the simplest outfit, it’s incredibly lightweight, and it fits everything I need.
6. The Wish-List Item
Those who know me well know I love shoes; they’re my favourite way to have fun with an otherwise minimalist outfit. Right now, I’m eyeing a pair of Amina Muaddi boots. She’s another incredible Jordanian designer, and her pieces have just the right amount of personality.
7. The Beauty Products
A really nourishing vitamin C serum is the one skincare product I can’t live without – Tatcha’s one is my go-to. It keeps my skin bright even during the busiest weeks. When it comes to make-up, I always have a hydrating lip balm (currently using the Dior Glow Lip Butter) in my bag, especially in the colder months, along with a subtle cream blush. They’re the two products that instantly make me feel a little more put together.
8. The Jewellery
I never take off my Diamond Tennis Bracelet. It’s one of those pieces that feels luxurious yet is still completely wearable every day, instantly elevating even the simplest outfit. My approach to jewellery really depends on my mood, but layering with intention is always my favourite look. I love mixing pieces with different textures and weights, so the stack feels balanced and thoughtful. Most days, I’ll wear a combination of necklaces, like the Mini Serpentine Chain Necklace paired with a bolder piece, such as the Organic Dôme Liquid Letter Pendant. When it comes to rings, I’m drawn to a playful stack. Our Puzzle Rings are the perfect starting point, and I love how personal they become as I layer my kids’ birthstones alongside my husband’s.
9. The Book
One book that’s really made an impact on me is The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz. I’ve read plenty of books on leadership, but this one felt refreshingly honest. His persistence and practical approach to challenges was a reminder that building a business isn’t meant to look perfect – resilience is what really counts. Seeing the behind-the-scenes reality of scaling a company was incredibly grounding.
10. The Museum
I love visiting Toronto’s Aga Khan Museum, which is a space for Islamic art, for its quiet beauty and the way it creates space for reflection, culture, and connection.
11. The Restaurant
Jon in Kuwait. We’ve just opened two stores there at The Assima and The Avenues, and during my visit for the openings, I tried it for the first time. I’m drawn to beautiful spaces, and the design really stood out. It blends Middle Eastern architecture seamlessly with the surrounding nature, creating a serene atmosphere that never feels intrusive.
12. The App
I have been enjoying Elevate, a brain-training app – I love how it turns mental wellness into something playful and energising. The daily games are quick but effective, they help me reset, focus, and feel a little sharper throughout the day.
13. The Wellness Ritual
I do strength training a few times a week; it’s non-negotiable. It keeps me centred and gives me the mental clarity I need for everything else in my day. Now and then, I also like to take time for myself and spend a few hours alone at the spa.
14. The Motto
It has been, and will continue to be, “Buy Yourself the Damn Diamond.” It’s one of our core Mejuri phrases and represents everything we hope to build: a global fine jewellery brand that encourages people to celebrate themselves on their own terms. On a personal level, whenever I feel guilty about taking time for myself, I hear that phrase in my head. It’s a reminder that self-care matters. It’s not just about jewellery – it’s a mindset.
