THE AUCTION
Sotheby’s, Origins
Sotheby’s returns to Saudi Arabia this January with Origins, its second international auction in the Kingdom, staged in the historic setting of Diriyah on 31st January. Coinciding with the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale, the sale brings together more than 70 works spanning Modern and Contemporary art, from trailblazing Saudi pioneers to globally recognised names. Highlights include rare works by Safeya Binzagr and Mohammed Al Saleem alongside international heavyweights such as Picasso, Anish Kapoor, Warhol and Dubuffet. Ahead of the auction, the whole selection will be on public view at Bujairi Terrace from 24th to 31st January.
