Dear Readers,
As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what an inspiring chapter this has been for SheerLuxe Middle East.
From the major fashion moments across the region to the cultural highlights that filled our calendar, 2025 has been defined by creativity, connection and a clearer sense of who we are as a platform.
It has also been a meaningful year for us as a team. With Hebah, Talar, Zahar and Hanya shaping the energy of our days, there has been a real sense of shared purpose in everything we produce. Alongside them, our brilliant contributors continue to enrich every story with their expertise and passion.
Across the region, the momentum has been extraordinary. Fashion weeks in Dubai, Riyadh and beyond showcased the craftsmanship and talent that continue to place the Middle East firmly on the global map. Every trip reminded us just how dynamic, ambitious and fast-evolving the creative community here truly is.
Our Leading Ladies series grew in the best way. Speaking to Nadia Zaal about the destinations she has shaped across the UAE and hearing from Saina Babaee on identity and culture captured exactly what this series is meant to celebrate: women who push the region forward with intention and clarity.
We also spotlighted incredible voices in sport this year, a space evolving rapidly across the Middle East. From meeting Budreya Faisal to joining Reem AlAboud in Jeddah for Formula E.
Another proud moment was launching our first capsule collection with Wear That. Blending style, accessibility and storytelling in a way that felt uniquely SheerLuxe, it was embraced so warmly by our community.
As we look ahead, we’re also gearing up for an exciting 2026 at SL Middle East, with January already shaping up to be jam-packed. We’re kickstarting the year with a community event (watch this space), a pop-up partnership and plenty happening behind the scenes as we plan our next city focus across the GCC.
Outside of work, I’ve been making the most of a few recent trips closer to home. In Saudi, I finally stayed at Habitas AlUla and can confirm it’s every bit as inspiring and calming as everyone says. The AlUla Arts Festival also returns on 16th January and is firmly on my radar. A quick Abu Dhabi escape with Sotheby’s reminded me just how much I love the understated cool of The Abu Dhabi EDITION, while time on Saadiyat reinforced how quickly the cultural offering there is evolving – particularly with the year-end opening of the National Museum, which is well worth a visit.
Finally, in true self-gifting mode, my current wish list includes a faux-leather trench from Dima Ayad’s latest drop, one of Astrea London’s lab-grown diamond pieces (our exclusive jewellery tour with Creative Director Sarah Jessica Parker lands in January) and, inevitably, another Manu Atelier bag to add to the collection – this time in suede.
Here’s to more moments of discovery, creativity and connection in 2026. Thank you for being part of our journey.
With love and gratitude,
