GET INTO THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT:
Winter Garden
Residents of Dubai may still be wearing sandals, swimwear and SPF30 in November but with Christmas around the corner, they’ll do anything to get into the festive spirit. From Wednesday 1st November, the elegant Habtoor Palace Dubai hotel will transform into Dubai’s version of Lapland with its famous Winter Garden. Choir singing and live music, fairground rides, food trucks, children’s arts and crafts plus a play area, visits from Santa Claus during December and a lit-up Christmas tree can be found at this pet-friendly event near Dubai Canal every day from 4pm to midnight.

TRY THE BEST STEAK IN DUBAI:
Carna
Competition among steakhouses in Dubai is intense, with several restaurants jostling to serve the best cuts in the most luxurious setting. This November, Dubai welcomes back one of the city’s greats, Carna, which has undergone a major refurbishment over the summer. Perched on the 74th floor of the glamorous SLS Dubai Hotel, Carna comes from the eccentric Italian celebrity butcher, Dario Cecchini whose moustache is almost as big as the porterhouse he has on the menu.

Ambition, betrayal, guilt, a complex marriage and a trio of witches all add up to a great night at the theatre. Nureyev Legend & Legacy
The talent, career and legacy of ballet’s greatest male dancer Rudolf Nureyev will be remembered during a programme that reflects on some of his greatest performances. Introduced with a video by actor Ralph Fiennes, who played Nureyev in the 2018 film The White Crow, the show on Thursday 9th November will explore what made Nureyev such a special dancer. Leading ballet dancers from prestigious companies such as The Royal Ballet, New York City Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, and the Vienna State Ballet will perform pieces from Nureyev’s legendary career, accompanied by the orchestra of the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, conducted by Gavin Sutherland. SOAK UP THE ATMOSPHERE:
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Max Verstappen may have strolled his way to a third consecutive Formula One Championship in Qatar in early October, but that doesn’t mean the season-ending Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday 26th November will be a dull affair. One of the most atmospheric venues on the F1 calendar, the UAE twilight race is contested on the Yas Marina Circuit under floodlights with plenty of glitz, yachts and celebrities. The Foo Fighters have also secured a post-race gig at Etihad Park following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday 26th November. Anthems such as Everlong, Best of You, My Hero and Times Like These should ensure fans sign off the season with a bang
