These 3 Nail Trends Are Everywhere Right Now

From barely-there nudes and micro-French tips to delicate florals and colourful French manicures, this season's nail trends are all about finding the right balance between polished and playful. The Clean Girl Nude

Minimalism isn't going anywhere, with clean, natural-looking nails remaining one of the most requested styles in the salon. “The Micro French and clean, minimal nails are still very popular,” says Treat Salon’s nail technician Clara Murambiwa, “I also think clients are becoming more creative with their nails.” This summer, “clients are loving soft pinks, milky white, and peachy tones,” making these understated shades the perfect choice for a fresh, polished manicure. Think sheer nudes, glossy finishes and subtle micro-French tips for nails that look chic and work with any outfit, in any season.

The Feminine Nail Art

Tiny florals and whimsical designs are another easy way to bring some personality to your manicure without being too loud. Think delicate flowers dotted across a sheer base, a single crystal bloom on each nail or soft peach paired with tiny white petals. “Clients are still asking for nail art, French variations, tiny florals, delicate bows, abstract details, and small chrome accents,” Clara Murambiwa from Treat Salon tells us. She adds that “a lot of clients prefer having one or two statement nails rather than detailed art on every nail.” Sally Soheili, founder of So, is seeing a similar shift towards more delicate designs: “Nail art is still very popular, but generally it's quite delicate now. We get lots of requests for micro or coloured French tips, tiny florals, dots, chrome details and little 3D accents.” The trend has also been spotted on pop star Dua Lipa, who has showcased a variety of floral manicures throughout the summer, all created by her go-to manicurist Michelle Humphrey.

The Colourful French

For those who want something a little more playful, colourful French tips are having a moment. From pastels to neon, swapping a classic white tip for a colourful shade is an easy way to experiment without committing to a full-on colour. “We’re also seeing more playful colours like butter yellow, baby blue, and soft lilac,” says nail technician Clara Murambiwa, while noting that “French variations” are among the nail-art styles clients are requesting most.

What's Coming For Autumn?

If you're already thinking ahead to your next appointment, expect the palette to get deeper and moodier come September. “For Fall, I think we’ll see lots of deep wine and burgundy, chocolate brown, olive green and warmer earthy shades. Cat-eye and chrome will probably move into those darker, richer colours too.” Explains SO founder, Sally Soheili, who has salons across Dubai and Riyadh.
