The SL ME Team’s Go-to Airport Outfits

When it comes to airport outfits, I always prioritise style over practicality, but comfort still matters. I go for oversized or flowy pieces that feel easy to move in and never restrictive. A monochrome look is my go-to – chic without trying too hard. As airports are always chilly, I tend to layer with a jacket. This Frankie Shop bomber is the perfect throw-on over a boxy tee and relaxed denim. Comfy sneakers and my Anine Bing cap keep the look casual, and an oversized tote is a must to carry all my in-flight essentials.

Comfort is key when travelling, but I still like to feel put together. I never thought I’d wear jeans on a flight until I discovered the horseshoe style – the roomy fit makes them just as comfy as sweats. I usually pair them with a medium-weight tee from the men’s section at Massimo Dutti, throw a cosy crew-neck sweater over my shoulders for warmth and finish with my ultra-comfy New Balance sneakers. I prefer to breeze through security, so I rarely travel with overhead cabin luggage. My Dragon Diffusion Japan Tote is the perfect carry-on to fit all the essentials.

When I travel, I always think of how old Hollywood actresses used to fly: elegant, composed and never too casual. A touch of glamour is always nice, which is why my go-to look is a pair of track pants from Anine Bing, a crisp oversized shirt and a relaxed blazer to throw on if the cabin gets chilly. Add in some trainers for all that terminal walking and a baseball cap to hide the inevitable in-flight hair situation.

For me, airport style is about balancing comfort with polish. I choose loose trousers that move with me, a soft top and a jacket for when the cabin gets chilly. Comfy trainers and fresh socks are non-negotiable – feeling good is just as important as looking good. You never know who you might meet on the flight or at the airport, so I like to travel in style. Even on travel days, I want to step off the plane feeling like myself: effortless and confident.

My airport look is all about effortless comfort with a polished edge. I stick to a matching soft-touch modal jacket and trousers – they feel like loungewear but look pulled together – layered over a breathable linen tee for understated ease. Instead of trainers, I opt for my Alaïa ballet flats: chic, lightweight and perfect for slipping on and off at security. Sleek accessories – my Rimowa cabin case and Longchamp travel bag – keep things practical yet elevated, while my Dyson headphones and multitasking water bottle make the journey smoother. It’s my go-to uniform for staying chic and comfortable from check-in to touchdown.
