Some of my favourite restaurants include Dar El Jeld and Café Mrabet. For authentic flavours, I can’t get enough of Fondouk El Attarine, and for a sweet treat, Parad’Ice is my top pick for ice cream. Other must-visit spots include Le GolfeRestaurant La MansourahDar ZarroukIT Pizza & CoBocca FeliceChez Ezzedine, and the cosy Dar Fatma. My go-to comfort meal is brick and couscous lamb.

A visit to Tunis isn’t complete without trying fricasse and granite – two local delights that embody street food culture. To soak up Tunisia’s rich history, I recommend visits to Dougga, Kairouan, Sidi Bou Said, La Medina, Carthage, Tataouine and Tozeur.  Each destination holds so many stories.

When I need to recharge, I head to Carthage. From the impressive amphitheatre to the serene views of the Mediterranean, it’s a place where the past meets the present and it always leaves me feeling inspired. When I need a change of scene, Ain Draham is my city escape. For those looking to take in the most breathtaking views, Kelibia and Hawaria are must-sees, especially at sunset.

For those looking to be inspired by interiors, there’s nowhere better than the Medina houses and the picturesque Sidi Bou Said. The whitewashed buildings with blue accents, vibrant flowers and breathtaking views never fail to inspire. My grandmother’s house, however, holds the most special place in my heart – its warmth and charm are unmatched.

For unique stays, I recommend exploring boutique hotels known as ‘Maison D’hôtes’ – these hidden gems offer the kind of personal touch you won’t find elsewhere. Some of my top picks include Maison Dedine, a haven with stunning décor and views, Dar Omi for its warm hospitality, Dar Jamila with its unique charm,  La Villa Bleue for its serene ambiance, and La Demeure, a perfect blend of comfort and style. When I’m looking for a more luxe experience, the Four Seasons Gammarth and Radisson Blu Djerba are my go-tos.

The breathtaking beaches at Hawaria are my latest discovery. This coastal escape is best experienced with Escapade Tunisie, who offer bespoke outdoor adventures like kayaking, paddleboarding and guided hikes that immerse you in the natural beauty of Tunisia.

Tunisia is brimming with incredible designers. I’m especially fond of SoltanaAli KarouiBenmaBoldenimSihem MsaddakWachm TraditionBakht’ArtRayhana Jewellery, and Meriem Trabelsi. No shopping trip is complete without visiting Maison de Senteurs, where you’ll find the most beautiful artisanal products, or browsing the Medina (souq) for fragrant spices and authentic harissa. If I could only choose one thing to shop for, it would be traditional kitchen accessories – each piece tells a story and brings a touch of Tunisian heritage into the home.

My latest fashion find has been Artisanette, known for its traditional kaftans that blend elegance with heritage. One of my most treasured memories? Opening Paris Fashion Week – a real highlight of my career.

When it’s time to relax, I retreat to Bizerte. This serene coastal town offers a tranquil escape from the bustle of city life. To keep up with my fitness routine, I head to my gym in Bardo, where I find the perfect balance of energy and focus. For a leisurely coffee, I love spending time at The 716 or at Blu Blu Sidi Bou Said. On weekends, you’ll often find me exploring Hammamet, Rafraf, or Ghar El Melh, where the atmosphere is always welcoming.

For unique stays, I recommend exploring boutique hotels known as ‘MAISON D’HÔTES’ – these hidden gems offer the kind of PERSONAL TOUCH you won’t find elsewhere.

My calendar is always marked for events like the Djerba Music Festival and the classic Festival de Carthage. I also enjoy the lovely atmosphere at Jolene and Calypso.

For beauty treatments, my go-to is Baia for hair; the treatments always leave me feeling refreshed and glamorous. When it’s time for a manicure or a pedicure, Tips & Toes is unbeatable. For beauty products, I swear by BS Store in Kram for organic oils that keep my skin looking radiant. Lately, I’ve been loving Charlotte Tilbury’s Exagger-Eyes Mascara for bold lashes; Fenty’s Concealer and Gloss Bomb for that flawless finish; Makeup Forever’s Lip Liners for precision; Benefit’s Brow Gel for effortless definition; and skincare must-haves from La Roche-PosayCaudalie and Sunday Riley.
