I’m constantly reaching for it, whether I’m doing my own make-up or working on clients, because it blends products seamlessly without moving the make-up underneath, which I think is key for keeping skin looking fresh and natural. For foundation, I always come back to the [Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60881304) because the shape makes it so easy to press and buff foundation into the skin. It gives such a smooth, seamless finish without looking heavy and honestly, the right brush can completely change how a foundation applies. Even more affordable formulas look polished when I use this brush. For concealer, I love the [Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60881393) because the shape almost mimics a fingertip or little paw, so it tucks beautifully under the lashes and into the under-eye area without disturbing the make-up underneath. It gives such a smooth, seamless blend whilst still keeping coverage exactly where you want it. I also love using the [Real Techniques Mini Miracle Concealer Puff](https://www.centrepointstores.com/ae/en/buy-real-techniques-mini-miracle-concealer-puff-set-of-6/p/166996868) afterwards to really press the concealer into the skin because that combination gives the most beautiful soft-focus, airbrushed finish. The [MAC 217 Synthetic Blending Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60882093) will always be my go-to blending brush. It’s genuinely iconic in the make-up industry because it diffuses eyeshadow so effortlessly and gives that soft, seamless blend every time. When I worked at MAC Cosmetics in London, it was probably the brush we all had the most of in our brush belts because it was such a brilliant all-rounder. You could use it for eyeshadow, spot concealing, buffing, blending and quick touch-ups. For bronzer and contour, I love the [REFY Duo Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60882324) because the smaller end is amazing for more precise sculpting and placement, whilst the larger side buffs everything out beautifully without disturbing the make-up underneath. I especially love it for cream bronzer because it gives that really soft, modern definition rather than anything too harsh or overdone. I also think there are some amazing, affordable brushes on the market now. As a make-up artist, I also have to mention [MYKITCO](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60882426) because its brushes are incredibly well-made, functional and designed with real working artists in mind. For luxury brushes, I think Hourglass and Patrick Ta are absolutely worth the investment because they apply complexion products in such a seamless, refined way. One underrated brush I really love is the [Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Shapewear Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60882590) because the angled side is amazing for precise contour placement, whilst the fluffy end buffs everything out beautifully so it still looks soft and natural. Overall, I’d probably say MAC Cosmetics and MYKITCO are the brush brands I rate most highly. The larger side is great for lightly dusting on setting powder without making the skin look dry or heavy, while the smaller side is amazing for bronzer and contour because it gives a soft, diffused finish and fits perfectly along the cheekbone. I also love that it never leaves harsh lines, which is important for the kind of skin-like make-up I do. For foundation, I swear by the [BK Beauty 106 Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60884854) because it gives that really seamless, skin-like finish people are looking for now, especially on textured or mature skin. It buffs product into the skin beautifully without leaving streaks and works with everything from skin tints to fuller-coverage foundations. It’s also incredibly soft, which makes such a difference when you’re blending fluid formulas. I genuinely use it all the time. I also love the [Makeup By Mario F1 Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60885018) for concealer because the smaller side blends the product while keeping coverage exactly where you want it. A lot of concealer brushes either move the product around too much or absorb too much product, but this one gives a really smooth, airbrushed finish under the eyes. The larger side is also brilliant for skin tints. For eyeshadow, the [BK Beauty 202 Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60885238) makes blending effortless. It’s fluffy enough to diffuse shadow quickly but still small enough that you don’t lose control of placement and fits perfectly in the crease area. I love it for everyday eye looks because it creates that soft, lifted effect without needing so much time to blend. When it comes to affordable brushes, I still swear by the [Real Techniques Setting Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60885335). I’ve used it for nearly 15 years on the under-eye area and still haven’t found anything better at that price point. It picks up the perfect amount of powder and applies it so lightly that the under-eyes never look dry or cakey. I don’t think enough people talk about the [Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Complexion Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60885450) either. It’s especially great for cream contour because the larger side fits perfectly around the cheekbones and jawline, while the smaller side makes nose contouring really easy and precise. It blends cream products beautifully without lifting them, which many dual-ended brushes struggle to do. As for luxury brushes, I think Hourglass consistently creates some of the best. I love how versatile it is. Because it’s synthetic, it works beautifully with both powders and creams, and it’s small and precise enough for powder touch-ups, cream blush or highlighting. If I were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one brush with me, it would honestly be that one. I absolutely love it and have multiples in my kit. For foundation, I swear by the [IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60886108). I was first introduced to it during a masterclass with Mario Dedivanovic, and it became a staple in both my personal and professional kit ever since. Even though it’s marketed as a dual foundation brush, I actually use it for cream bronzer and blush. The larger side blends bronzer so seamlessly without leaving harsh lines, while the smaller end is perfect for more precise blush placement. When it comes to foundation, I actually use two brushes because they each do something different. I love the [Make Up For Ever 106 Medium Foundation Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60889672) for applying product, then I go in with the Milk Makeup Blending Brush to really blend everything out and give the skin that seamless finish. For concealer, I’m obsessed with the [Dolce & Gabbana Concealer Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60889858). It’s definitely a little bougie, but it’s honestly that good. The shape, density and size are perfect for blending concealer beautifully under the eyes or across the face without disturbing the make-up underneath. My go-to eyeshadow blending brush will always be the [MAC 217 Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60889969) because it’s such a classic. You can build, blend, create a more precise definition or buff everything out into a softer, airbrushed finish. For bronzer, I also love the [ILIA Sculpting Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60890099) when I want everything to look really blended and blown out, but for more precise contouring, I always reach for the [Charlotte Tilbury Magic Complexion Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60890197). I think Sephora Collection and Morphe both have some amazing, affordable brushes, while Hourglass is definitely the luxury brand worth investing in. I’ve only recently started using the brushes, and I’m obsessed with how beautifully they apply make-up. One underrated brush I use constantly is the [Charlotte Tilbury Eyeliner Brush](https://go.shopmy.us/p-60890389). I actually use it for almost everything except eyeliner because it’s so versatile – spot concealing, smudging liner, smoking out shadow along the lower lash line and even correcting lip liner. Overall, I’d probably say Makeup By Mario is the brush brand I rate most highly because the brushes are dual-ended, versatile and genuinely easy to use.
